Our aim at SKIMS is to ensure that every customer feels confident and content with the items they choose, and we understand that there may be occasions when a purchase does not meet expectations. To support a smooth experience, we provide a return process that is designed to be clear and manageable, and we encourage customers to review the policy beforehand so they understand the conditions that apply. For purchases made during the holiday season—from October 30th through December 30th, 2024—returns may be submitted until January 31st, 2025. This seasonal extension is offered to give customers greater flexibility at a busy time of year. However, this additional window does not apply to products marked as final sale or to exclusive collaboration releases, as these categories are not eligible for refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.
Items that remain unused, unwashed, and in the same condition in which they were received may be returned within 30 days of their original purchase date, as long as valid proof of purchase can be provided. The product must include its original tags, labels, and packaging components. SKIMS does not accept returns for garments that have been worn, altered, cleaned, or damaged. Although missing tags may not disqualify an item, it must still be returned with its original packaging whenever possible. Once approved, refunds are typically issued to the original method of payment, including prepaid cards. If the item was received as a gift, store credit is issued automatically. Merchandise labeled as final sale cannot be refunded, exchanged, or returned.
Customers who purchased online may return items by mailing them back or by visiting any SKIMS retail store. Shipping fees associated with the initial order are non-refundable. If an in-store purchase is linked to a SKIMS account or a digital receipt, it may also be returned online. Purchases made in person without an associated email address cannot be returned through the online portal and must be processed at a store. It is not possible to combine products from multiple orders into one return shipment, and return labels cannot be generated for APO or FPO addresses.
A fee of $6.00 applies to mailed returns, deducted from the refund amount. This charge can be avoided in several ways: members of SKIMS Rewards receive free return shipping on eligible purchases, customers who opt for store credit instead of a refund are exempt from the shipping deduction, and all customers may visit a SKIMS retail store to submit returns at no cost. After a return request is created on the website, a confirmation email is sent that includes both a QR code and a prepaid return label. The package must then be dropped off at a USPS or UPS location within 14 days. In-store returns do not require using the online system.
When the returned merchandise arrives at a SKIMS facility, it is inspected to ensure it meets policy guidelines. Customers will be informed if the return is approved or denied. Processing may take up to seven business days after the return is delivered, and refunds usually take an additional three to five business days to appear, depending on the financial institution. Store credit is provided in the form of a SKIMS gift card sent to the email used at checkout. If a return does not meet standards, it may be refused, and SKIMS may recover any store credit previously issued if necessary. When a gift is returned, store credit is provided to the gift recipient once the package begins transit back to SKIMS.
Each return is evaluated individually at the discretion of SKIMS, including determining whether the item meets the definition of new and unused. These guidelines are in place to maintain a consistent experience for all customers and to safeguard the return system from misuse. In situations involving suspected fraud or repeated policy violations, SKIMS may restrict or decline future returns or purchases. Returns submitted outside the 30-day window or without verifiable proof of purchase may be refunded as store credit or as required by applicable law.
